Welcome to Cocoa Beach, Florida

Whether your're just thinking about visiting Cocoa Beach or you've visited before and you're planning a return, our small beach community offers great accomodations and a wide variety of attractions for just about any visitor.  Within Cocoa Beach you will find six miles of ocean beaches with excellent beach access for one end of the City to the other.  We have three oceanfront parks with restrooms, showers, and picnic tables.  The City owns and operates the Cocoa Beach Country Club with 27 holes that meander along the Banana River with challenging golf and beautiful water views.  At the Sports Complex there is an olympic size swimming pool and tennis courts with lights for evening play.  All the major hotel chains are represented as well as smaller "mom & pop" motels and timeshares.  There are a wide range of dining choices to fit the taste buds and budget of everyone.  A beach trolley system will get you around town easily.

Located on a barrier island and nestled between the great Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River Lagoon,  Cocoa Beach was first incorporated in 1925.  With the television show "I Dream Of Jeannie" highlighting Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center, the area became even more famous with each telecast of the show and every rocket launch from the Space Center.  Today, this community of 12,850 enjoys activities such as swimming, surfing, surf casting, skim boarding, sunbathing on the six miles of ocean beaches.  Fishing is a popular pastime for locals and tourists alike, either in the Atlantic or the Indian and Banana Rivers.
